For the past 6 years my website has survived several eras. Starting with just a simple geocities account, to buying an actual domain name (agent44.net at first then finally agent44.com). Some of you (Mom) have been witness each of these. Every new incarnation was an experiment in how best to showcase my work, yet also keep a dialog going with fellow artists, friends and passersby. I thought with this last version I straddled both worlds fine by making it a blog slash portfolio site. However, it’s just too hard to get to my art work and to sift through it all. I wanted to make it s easy and basic as possible, because art directors and future clients don’t have a lot of time, no do they care about my weekend at comicon. They just want to see the art. So, agent44.com will primarily be showcasing that. But my blog will still be alive and well, off to the side, quietly posting new artwork and stuff I’m interested. So, go check out the new site. There’s new stuff on there as well as some old ones from the archives. I’d love to know what you think.
Now, about my blog. I messed something up while switching it from one folder to the other. I changed a value in one of the files and I have no idea how to fix it. Apparently it is well beyond my abilities as a web designer. However, it gave me the perfect excuse to upgrade and redesign my blog to match my website and also to purge it of all the extra fat. To have a fresh start. Right now it’s completely empty, a clean slate. I’m excited to fill it up with sketches, art, and with stuff I find of curious interest. Come back often, and, if you like, subscribe to my RSS feed.
