The Starfighter

The Starfighter

The Draw Force mission for June is Starfighter.  I immediately thought of Alex Rogan and that brilliant 1984 film The Last Starfighter.  That film had such an impact on my 7 year old mind.  I wanted to do an homage to that, but soon became overwhelmed.  So I did a completely different take on it.  Also wanted to do something with a little more color.  This is inked with the Zebra on 11 x 17 laser printer paper.

  1. It is quite possible you do see some Dave in there. I’m a big fan.

  2. I loved that movie as a kid too! That tricky Centaury! Sweet Starfighter design!

  3. overall, I dig the left eye the most. I don’t know why, I just think it really works. Second in digging is the non-heroic costume. Very workmanlike. Perfect.

  4. Hawt stuff! I really like the color scheme on this one.

I had nightmares from that movie, all from the “clone” growing under the blankets…I always remember that last spinoramma move too. Great movie.

  5. Dude, the little details are fantastic!

  6. im really enjoying this! the random standing on a floating metor makes me ask questions like, “how did he get there?”, “why did he choose that rock?”, and “did he pack some sandwiches and extra spaceman underwear incase his rock floats too far away for him to get around?”

i always get hyped for your attention to little details!
